The Soul of Jeju: A Zesty Twist on a British Classic
The OSULLOC Yuja Earl Grey is a bold, citrus-forward reimagining of the world's most famous scented tea. While traditional Earl Grey relies solely on the Mediterranean bergamot, Osulloc infuses this classic with the soul of Korea: the Yuja (Yuzu). Harvested from the sun-drenched orchards of Jeju Island, the Yuja adds a complex layer of sweetness and a sharp, floral acidity that elevates the robust black tea base to new heights of refinement.
The Architecture of the Blend
The Premium Black Tea Base: A meticulously fermented black tea that provides a full-bodied, malty foundation with a controlled bitterness and a smooth, lingering finish.
The Dual-Citrus Harmony: The traditional, peppery notes of Bergamot are brightened by the "honeyed-lemon" vibrance of Jeju Yuja, creating a multi-dimensional citrus bouquet.
Flavor Profile: Vibrant, sophisticated, and revigorating. It begins with a bright citrus spark and settles into a warm, rounded tea flavor that cleanses the palate.
Generous Format: This 20-sachet box is designed for the daily connoisseur, ensuring a consistent, high-quality brew for your morning ritual or afternoon pause.
Why This Blend is Unique
Jeju Terroir: The Yuja grown in Jeju's volcanic soil is world-renowned for its intense aroma and high vitamin C content, offering a freshness that standard citrus teas cannot match.
Masterful Fermentation: Osulloc’s expertise in tea oxidation ensures that the black tea remains strong enough to carry the citrus notes without being overpowered.
Versatility: Unlike many Earl Greys, the natural sweetness of the Yuja makes this tea equally delicious when served hot or as a sophisticated "Earl Grey Iced Tea."
The Perfect Steep
To balance the strength of the black tea with the volatile citrus oils:
1.Water Temperature: 90°C to 95°C. Hot water is essential to fully extract the deep tannins of the black tea and the bright Yuja essence.
2.Steeping Time: 2 minutes.
3.The "London Fog" Twist: For a creamy treat, steep the sachet in half a cup of hot water, then top with frothed milk and a touch of honey to create a "Jeju Yuja Fog"—a comforting, citrusy latte.
