Cube Special Edition Set: nine teas and infusions to discover

A discovery set from Ssanggyemyeongcha, a tea house from Hadong at the foot of Mount Jiri: nine small cubes, each holding a triangular tea bag of a different variety, arranged in an illustrated red gift box. The pyramid tea bags let leaves and flowers open fully in the cup. An ideal first approach to Korean tea.

The 9 varieties

Roasted Sejak (Deokeum Sejak): roasted Korean green tea, hand-picked. A soft, full cup.

Jirisan Chrysanthemum: chrysanthemum flowers, a golden, floral cup.

Burdock: roasted root, enveloping flavor.

Doraji: balloon flower root, woody and earthy profile.

Deodeok: codonopsis root, soft and woody flavor.

Marigold Blossom: floral marigold blend.

Earl Grey: classic black tea.

Chamomile: chamomile flowers, a soft, floral cup.

Peppermint: mint leaves, a fresh cup.

Preparation

Place one tea bag in a cup, pour water at 90 °C and steep for 2 to 3 minutes. These infusions can also be enjoyed cold by adding ice.
