Wild or Regular: The Duel of Boseong Terroirs

"Regular" Tea: Harmony and Balance
This is the iconic landscape of Boseong: perfectly manicured rows of tea plants undulating across the hills like green waves.
The Character: These tea plants are carefully tended to ensure a uniform harvest. The flavor is balanced, focused on freshness, toasted hazelnut, and a beautiful clarity on the palate.
For Whom? For those seeking consistency and elegance. Our Classic Sejak Green Tea is the perfect ambassador of this mastered expertise.
"Wild" Tea (Yasaeng-cha): The Untamed Strength
Wild tea grows wherever the wind has carried the seeds—often in the shade of bamboo forests or on steep, rugged slopes. These tea plants are never pruned; they fight for survival, pushing their roots deep into the rocky soil.
The Character: The taste is more complex and "darker," with intense mineral notes and a lingering finish (Huigan) that seems to never end.
The Experience: To drink our Wild Forest Tea is to taste the raw essence of the mountain.
Order vs. Chaos: Why the Difference?
1.The Roots: A wild tea plant has roots three to four times longer, capturing minerals that cultivated tea plants can never reach.
2.Sunlight: In the wild, tea plants often grow under the canopy of tall trees. This natural shade increases their L-theanine levels and reduces their natural bitterness.
How to Enjoy Them?
The Regular: Use our White Porcelain Cups to admire the pale, limpid green liquor.
The Wild: Prefer our Raw Stoneware Bowls, which resonate with the rusticity and mineral power of the brew.
Whether you prefer the discipline of the gardens or the freedom of the forest, Maison Boseong guarantees a total immersion into the Korean terroir.
